Look What I Did
Creativity: We can sense it. We can deliver it. But is it a flow that we can control? Can we turn it on or off at will? Where does it come from? Out of thin air? Could that be just another way of saying “I don’t know”? Here’s a thought challenge: suppose you begin with an open box of puzzle pieces, and you arrange those pieces in a way no one has tried before. It may not match the picture on the lid, but your arrangement still makes a picture, just the same. Would you count that as creativity? If so, then perhaps we don’t actually create the pieces, but rather rearrange them in fresh ways no one has ever imagined before. Then again…
